Written above the entrance of the historic Batcher Block Opera House are the words, “A place where dreams come true.” For Colleen Frost, who purchased the building in 2003 after a terminal cancer diagnosis, it has become her living legacy. Now, 21 years later, when asked about the moment she purchased the property, she references the poet, William James, who pledged to ‘spend my life working on something that will outlast my life.’
